21 November 2009-First Day of Gyan Manthan '09 organised at LPU

Lovely Professional University kick started its mega tech-festival named “Gyan Manthan 08” on Saturday, 21 November 2009, amidst roaring enthusiasm of organizers and guests. This is the third year in succession that the two-day Tech Fest is being celebrated; and will be participated by 1000 students from various branches of engineering. In the first day there were 20000 visitors thronging LPU Campus to attend the festival. In whole the proceedings of the festival has been segmented in 3 broad modules i.e. tech events, non tech events and “War of Bands”, which will feature the contest amongst music bands from various competing colleges. The two day program will feature a wide array of programs dealing with technology and allied affairs.

AAGMAN 2009- a fiesta for the Freshers at LPU

Lovely School of Architecture and Design organized a function on 24th November’09 to celebrate the commencement of the new session. Er. H R Singla, Director General, LPU was the the Guest of Honor.
A modeling competition was planned for the freshers to select Mr. and Ms. Architecture and Design, followed by a talent hunt round where the participants danced, sang songs etc to showcase their capabilities. Mr. and Miss Architecture were won by Ravi Gund and Mischelle. Mr. and Miss Design were won by Navneet Singh and Komaldeep Kaur, where as Ms. Pavittar and Mr. Ravi were awarded Best dressed Fresher by the faculty members.
Students of first year and second year did Dance, singing and short act performances. The party was very well organized by the second year students of Architecture and Design department. The way the seniors welcomed their juniors was highly appreciated by the juniors and made them comfortable in the new environment
